Grow more pumpkins and input the variables and drink coffee but not too much. etc etc

300 words is just fine. People aren’t coming to blogs for long reading experiences — unless that’s your brand or your interest, how you want to communicate with people and be in the world. But here, I’m guessing you’ll feel best delivering short, actionable, interesting posts, more like awesome postcards, not long long letters because those are exhausting to write and post and read. I am showing my bias; you should write whatever you want for your ideal clients. 🙂
